2005 CHARITIES
The purpose of the Peak to Peak Rallye is not for profit, but to share the natural beauty of Colorado and the surrounding areas with our sports car enthusiast friends. Another benefit high on the list is camaraderie that has developed amongst this group. There are no full-time paid employees for this event. It is a labor of love for all who donate their time and efforts. All funds, beyond what were needed to pay for event expenses, were donated to the Jeffco Action Center in Lakewood, Colorado, and the Centennial School in San Luis, Colorado.

Also, an original painting, of which a copy will grace the front cover of the 2006 Peak to Peak route book, was auctioned off at Thursday night’s banquet during the 2005 Rallye. Jim Riopelle of Denver was the highest bidder and will have his car forever memorialized in this painting, which was done by noted automotive artist, Mike Mate. All proceeds from the painting were given as a tax deductible donation to the Jeffco Action Center. (www.jeffcoac.org)
