The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the premier historic and vintage car event of the year worldwide. For the Mathews Collection, the highpoint of 2000 was an invitation to bring two cars over to help honor Bruce McLaren on the 30th anniversary of his death at the Goodwood circuit in 1970.

Harry was at the wheel of the M6A-1, one of the most significant cars there, since it was Bruce's championship winning Can-Am car from 1967. There were many memorable moments for Harry, but none had more impact than driving up the long road to the manor during the McLaren parade with Bruce's daughter Amanda in the seat next to him.

Harry was also honored to have Lord Charles March, the host of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, at the wheel of the Mathews Collection's historic McLaren Elva M1A. This model was the first McLaren sports car, and this car was driven by Graham Hill in the 1965 L.A. Times Grand Prix in Riverside, CA It was also featured in the Elvis Presley movie "Spinout". It is a very historic and original car.
